THE BRIT AWARDS 2026

A BIG NIGHT FOR MUSIC, A BUSY FEW NIGHTS FOR PRODUCTION

This was a fun one…

The BRIT Awards 2026 with Mastercard was an excitingly large-scale, multi-platform broadcast delivered live from Manchester’s Co-op Live, bringing together world-class talent, complex technical delivery, and a global digital audience.

As producer on behalf of Groovy Gecko, I worked closely with teams from Cold Glass Productions, Zest TV and Gravity Media to deliver a technically seamless live experience throughout the night.

The production began on the red carpet, where we captured and streamed live content across the BRITs’ social channels. The broadcast brought fans closer to the action in real time, with interviews and arrivals from some of the biggest names in music, driving strong engagement and peaking at tens of thousands of concurrent viewers. It was a fast-paced, reactive environment that required tight coordination between editorial, technical, and platform teams.

Building on this momentum, we then delivered the international YouTube livestream of the awards ceremony itself (geo-locked for UK audiences watching via ITV). Using a robust transmission setup that combined venue connectivity with LiveU and Starlink as primary and backup feeds, we ensured a resilient, uninterrupted stream.
The global live stream that attracted over 600,000 viewers, followed by a 24-hour rolling stream to accommodate audiences across time zones.
The result? Across the first 48 hours, the livestream reached nearly 1.1 million views on YouTube.

Featuring standout performances from artists including Harry Styles, RAYE, Wolf Alice, ROSALÍA and Mark Ronson, the show was a true showcase of global music talent. It was a herculean effort by the teams in Manchester and London, an incredible achievement and a testament to the scale, collaboration, and technical precision of everyone involved.

It was a pleasure to help bring this production to life alongside such an exceptional group of people.
